Knitters Are Eastbound! Welcome to Creative Yarns.

After the 2012 Knitalong there was an informal Ravelry survey:
"Which LYS would you like added to The TTC Knitalong?" we asked.
"Creative Yarns," was the answer again and again.
"Hmm. Do we really want to move that far outside the core?"
"Yes! Yes!" you all replied.
"But it's almost an hour on transit from Creative Yarns to the next stop. The team may have to start earlier."
"We don't mind."
Clearly there is something very special happening at this central Scarborough shop.

Owned by self-taught knitwear designer Nina Klecki, Creative Yarns is the fulfillment of her dream to create a space that would allow her to share her passion for yarn and design, and to offer inspiration to fellow yarn crafters.
Says longtime TTC Knitalong captain and shop regular Cristina,
"The creative drive of Nina is amazing, she creates new garments all the time, showcasing the qualities of the yarn she is using, in simple but innovative garments and accessories. She is the queen of cowls!"

The shop service is outstanding and Nina gives great advice on yarn substitution and colour selection. They offer a broad range of yarns including Berroco, Zauberball, Fleece Artist and Malabrigo. You can pick up tools like swifts and ball winders or choose from their lovely selection of Namaste bags. On Thursday evenings, sit and knit with a coffee by the fireplace. There is even a classroom you can rent for knitting parties and workshops!
Nina and her husband and business partner Jody are excited to welcome you on July 20 but not as excited as we are to visit them. Thank you Creative Yarns for joining the TTC Knitalong.

Closest TTC: The nearby intersection of Warden/Ellesmere is accessible by the #68 from Warden station or the 95B from York Mills.
